Representatives from the East Development Office of the CEDD, together with the engineering team, joined the Dragon Boat Festival Rice Dumpling Workshop. The event was sponsored by the Home Affairs Department, Government-funded programme, the Hing Tin Care Team, and Towngas. The event was honored by the presence and support of Mr. HUI Lee-wing, Liaison Officer-in-Charge of Lam Tin Liaison Team (KTDO), Legislative Council Member Mr. Tang Ka-piu, BBS, JP, Ms. Chan Man-ki, MH, JP, Mr. Chan Pui-leung and Kwun Tong District Councilor Mr. Yu Siu-lun. By taking part in this meaningful activity, elderly residents were able to share in the festive spirit, fostering a community with greater care and a stronger sense of belonging.

The HKU Engineering Alumni Association recently launched the “Job Shadowing Programme 2026,” through which five engineering students undertook a five-day placement at the CEDD. During the programme, they visited the ARQ and related road improvement works, gaining valuable insights into site management and safety.

To facilitate the completion of the Anderson New Community, CEDD constructed 12 sets of pedestrian connectivity facilities in order to strengthen the linkage between Sau Mau Ping and the ARQ area, providing residents with a pleasant and convenient travel experience while promoting a low-carbon lifestyle.
